In the year 2002 Drushti Daan was brought into existence in Bhubaneswar with the help, dedication and untiring efforts of a few well meaning individuals having a desire to meaningfully contribute to the corneal blind in the State of Orissa, India. Before Drushti Daan came into existence there was no Eye Bank, not even a Cornea Collection Centre, at Bhubaneswar.
